Ultimate Collection of Open Source Software for Mac OS X v2.0 Disc Label
The Ultimate Collection of Open Source Software for Mac OS X v2.0 CD has now been compiled and can be downloaded from . The standard User ID and password you use to access the Disc of the Moth files applies – if you need a reminder of what these are, let me know.
There are a couple of differences with the support files for the UCoOSS CD compared to a normal Disc of the Month title;
- basically there are TWO versions of the CD Label and the About the UCoOSS PDF… One mentions that the CD is free (for use at the Software Freedom Day events) and the other has the $10 RRP price (if you want to sell the disc at your meetings).
- Also there will NOT be a promo movie… if you need to promote the Disc at meetings, just use the About the UCoOSS PDF
And don’t forget to replace the ‘REPLACE THIS FILE with YOUR MUG “About us”‘ file on the Disc Image with a promo about YOUR MUG… as these discs will be going to members of the general public.
Also, even if you can’t get volunteers to help staff a stand at your local Software Freedom Day event, seriously consider at least producing some of the UCoOSS discs with your MUG promo material included and give them to the local SFD organisers for them to distribute to Mac users who attend the event.
