SXSW Showcasing Artists 2005-2008 Disc Labels
Up on the Niche site, in a folder currently called ‘2009xx-SXSW Showcasing Artists’ there are FOUR DVD Images, containing music files from the 2005 through to 2008 SXSW Festivals
SXSW is one of the largest music festivals in the United States, with more than 1,400 performers playing dozens of venues around Austin, Texas over four days, in March. They also offers a free musical sampler each year, normally distributed through BitTorrent – the DVDs mentioned above are from the previous years Bittorrent files.
The 2009 festival will be held March 13-22 and as soon as the torrent is released I’ll grab it and make a new DVD, flyer and promo movie and upload it… hopefully in time for an April release.
But for now, considering there is over SEVENTEEN GIGABYTES of DVD images you may wish to start downloading those Discs that are available NOW…. OR AUSOM already has the 2005, 2006 and 2007 images (and will soon have the 2008 one), so you could order a single copy of each from them – just email Dick Johnson via president@ausom.net.au to make arrangements and then just download the Labels and promo flyer and movie… this would save a lot time and bandwidth.
