Where is e-tax for the Mac?

A number of the ACT Apple User Group members have been corresponding with the Australian Taxation Office to find out when a Mac compatible version of e-tax will be made available.

e-tax is a downloadable product used for completing your tax return on a home PC and forwarding it securely electronically into the ATO. e-tax is only available for the Windows platform. For a number of years they have been promising to produce a version for other operating systems, but have failed to deliver. Continue reading »

WWDC '09 Keynote

WWDC 2009 Keynote Address

On June 9th, 2009, Australian Time, Apple Inc launched their World Wide Developers Conference for 2009 with a Keynote Address, lead by Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing.

The video of the WWDC 2009 Keynote address is now available as a QuickTime Stream, in both standard and High Definition formats, plus it can be downloaded as a Podcast.

Australian Apple Macintosh User Groups may wish to consider downloading the Podcast version, which weighs in at a hefty 1.3GB file and showing excerpts at a forthcoming meeting. Continue reading »
