It’s been far to long since I last wrote to you all, but plenty of things have been happening and there are lots of exciting things to announce in coming months.

It has been far, far too long since I’ve communicated with you all but there is some exciting news I’ve been waiting to be able to share with you for a while now and I finally can announce the launch of a new, free, service to be offered exclusively to Australian Macintosh User Groups – the “Disc of the Month”
Over the last half year or so, I’ve been developing “Discs of the Month” for AUSOM Incorporated. It started off as a single, once only project, putting together a collection of Card Games for them to sell at their meetings but I enjoyed doing it so much and sales were extremely positive so it very quickly grew to nearly a dozen discs, including a massive DVD collection released in December. The following appeared on The MUG Center and I encourage all Australian MUGs to double check to see if they have an entry there (some of you do, and some don’t).
If your group DOES have any entry, make sure it is current and correct (and perhaps drop Chuck an email so he knows it is correct and who you are ;). If there are mistakes, then also let him know – I can see at least one really obvious mistake and another minor mistake in there.
If your group DOES NOT have an entry, then inform Chuck about your group and get an entry created. Remember this is FREE, year round, publicity for your group and it’ll only take a few minutes to fire off an email and get listed. Continue reading »

Hi All,
I’m about a week early asking for details of your _MAY_ meetings but personal commitments, including prep for the Thirty Apple Years presentation I’m giving on April 1st, that is happening in the last week of March (when I would normally be preparing the Australian Macworld MUG Events Calendar) means I’m going to need it a little earlier, but at least I’m giving you over a week’s notice (unlike a few months ago, when I only gave an overnight reminder) Continue reading »

Time passes so quickly – it seems like only yesterday that I wrote to you all seeking details for your March meetings and here I am asking about APRIL.
